Manufactured Color features three perspectives on the contemporary production and use of natural and synthetic color.
Ranging across photography, works on paper and three-dimensional constructions, this exhibition creates a layered dialogue between the physical and aesthetic qualities of various pigments and dyes.
Through the juxtaposition of the artists’ processes, this exhibition offers a unique look into the reclaiming, cultivation and critical examination of color in the 21st century.
Utopia/Dystopia at Main Street Arts Gallery

This exhibition depicts competing visions of the future that reflects the idea of utopia, dystopia, or a combination of the two, as interpreted by the artist. Neil’s work from the Sweet Tooth project is one of the selected entries.

This exhibition features Neil’s work from Facades of Anonymity, that comments on the roles of skyscrapers in mega-cities, some of which he has previously lived and worked in.
The exhibition was developed in partnership with the Main Line Art Center as part of the region-wide photography festival, Panorama 2015: Image-Based Art in the 21st Century.
3rd Street Gallery Group Exhibition, Philadelphia

This exhibition features Neil’s aerial work over the sea port of Longbeach and Los Angeles that leads the viewer through a manufactured landscape continuously transformed by over 6 million containers that are a direct result of global consumption. The featured work entitled Coincidental Accretion focuses on the aesthetics and demand of consumption and the altered reality it leaves in its wake.
The Light Room Gallery Group Exhibition, Philadelphia

This exhibition features gelatin silver prints from the LaSalle series that takes a brief look at the abandoned 1939 LaSalle car designed by Harley Earl who had worked for the Cadillac division of General Motors back in the 1930s. These photographs offer the viewer a nostalgic slice of time when the car quickly became a revised symbol of American freedom from the Great Depression.
